This piece was in creation for months, layer by layer, crafting each feather by hand over the unique fluid pour background. So much of myself as an artist is poured into each piece I create and Owl is no exception. The claws are 3d sculpted by hand, with wire inside them creating the realistic aspect of her forward determined movement.
The colours are mixed in with the heavy gloss medium and applied as you see it. The colour is not painted over the top. creating an authentic and organic essence. The Meduims used are professional grade Liquitex heavy gloss medium and acrylic paint colours.
