The Meduims used are professional grade Liquitex heavy gloss medium, sand texture medium and acrylic paint colours. The colour is mixed in with the texture medium not painted over the top, creating a truly unique piece that evolved organically with each swipe and stroke.
The piece consists of 3 hexagonal deep edge canvases, beautifully joined together at the back with clear perspex, keeping the spacing secure and hanging a breeze.
The canvases hang via 20kg heavy gauge fishing line from a dark stained and satin varnished natural branch. The concept behind this was to add that aspect of the bees natural environment and give structure to the overall design.
This piece is so beautifully uplifting.
Overall size including the branch is 120cmx115cm , with each hexagonal canvas being 52.5cm wide.
